Accessibility Statement

How we build this site so it works for as many people as possible, and what to do when it doesn't.

Our aim

Anyone should be able to read this site, use the enquiry form and get in touch, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard Ontario's accessibility rules (AODA) point to.

What we've built in

  • Colour chosen for contrast, so text is readable rather than merely good looking.
  • A keyboard path through everything: a skip link into the content, then every link, button, form field and the theme switch, with a visible outline showing where you are.
  • One clear heading order and landmark structure, so a screen reader can move between sections instead of reading the whole page.
  • Text that resizes and reflows instead of breaking when you zoom in.
  • Motion that stops when your device asks for less of it: the opening sequence, the section reveals and the ad reel all respect that setting.
  • Nothing that depends on imagery. There are no photographs or decorative icons carrying meaning, so no information is lost when images or styles are off.
  • Form fields with real labels, required fields marked as required, and errors written out in words rather than shown by colour alone.

Where we know it can be better

The concept work is deliberately styled: loud palettes for a gym, quiet ones for a clinic. Those designs are built to show range, not to be a finished product, and a couple of them push contrast further than we would for a real client. If any of it is hard to read, tell us. We'd rather adjust it than lose a reader.

Tell us when something doesn't work

Email hello@stonefoxweb.com with the page and what happened. If something on this site blocks you, we want to hear it: we'll tell you what we can fix and when, and we'll take your enquiry or answer your question by email in the meantime.

How this gets reviewed

We check the site as we change it, and we revisit this statement when we do. Questions about accessibility, or about how we build client sites to the same standard, go to the same address.
